Capital Grants

NYS has $150 million for capital-based economic development projects intended to create or retain jobs; prevent, reduce or eliminate unemployment and underemployment, and/or increase business or economic activity.

NYSERDA Energy Efficiency Projects

Provide energy efficiency services through financial and technical assistance for energy audits/energy modeling, retrofits to existing buildings, and new construction/substantial renovation projects in eligible facilities.

Recharge New York

Economic development power program designed to retain or create jobs through allocations of lower cost electricity to businesses that require significant energy. Qualifying entities can potentially lower their energy costs by using specially allocated NYPA power which is set aside by the state government.

Employee Training Incentive Program

Provides refundable tax credits to employers for procuring skills training that upgrades, retrains or improves the productivity of their employees

Craft Beverage Micro Grant Program

Program funding is available for capital grants of up to $50,000 each to support new equipment purchases, new infrastructure and facilities expansion or upgrades, and expansion of existing equipment. Projects must take place at a licensed location where production occurs.

Electric Bus/Vehicle Grants

The NYSERDA Truck Voucher Program, Con Edison Make Ready Program, NYS and the Federal EPA all offer grants for electric school buses and vehicles as well as charging infrastructure.

Industrial Commercial Abatement Program (ICAP)

Provides abatements for property taxes for periods of up to 25 years. To be eligible, industrial and commercial buildings must be built, modernized, expanded, or otherwise physically improved.
